Gm! Welcome to the Fully On Chain newsletter issue #6! We take the best on-chain news, projects, and findings, season it up, and serve it to you twice a month with a side of cranberry sauce. It’s good to be into nonfungible tokens these days! Projects are pamping and things are looking up. (especially gwei 🥵) Today we have some fun stuff including a giveaway from our friend 0xMonas! LFG! 🚀
🎁 Win an OnChainGlyph!
0xMonas was kind enough to offer our subscribers 5 glyphs from their new collection, OnChainGlyphs. They absolutely crushed the last collection and this one is no different. To win simply follow 0xMonas on Twitter and reply to this email with “ShowMeDaGlyph”. 😉 We will choose the winners in 2 days. Good luck!
🖥 Site Update
We have a newsletter archive! You can now read previous newsletters that you may have missed. They will be available on the website 5 days after newsletters are sent out. If you are a new subscriber please go back and read some of the earlier ones.
⭐️ Featured Projects
New projects (full archive) featured on Fully On Chain.
Receipt
Receipt is a fun experiment that uses the price you pay to determine the output of the art. Each price can only be used once.
FUSION
We have another banger from Hideki Tsukamoto. FUSION’s algorithm is designed to portray smaller more micro, particle-like events associated with combustion and the beginning of creation. It takes inspiration from particle and chemical combustion and subterranean photography, as opposed to cosmic events.
Folia
Folia captures the spirit of Brazilian carnivals with vibrant color palettes and shapes that give a feeling of movement. The organic patterns resemble costumes and decorations associated with those festivities. I had not heard of Paulo before but he is for sure on my radar now, as these are some of the highest quality generative art pieces I have seen. Full disclosure I minted 2 of these and might grab another. Mint is still open.
Duality
Duality is a statement about artworks, assets, and royalties. Free mint, the token can move freely for free. However, a trader must pay 0.5ETH to sell the token on marketplaces.
OnChainOpepen
dotta is a great builder in this space and he did something interesting with the last 0xmonas drop. He took the CC0 aspect of both OnChainRocks and Opepen and created something new! He created a contract that allows you to burn two rocks in exchange for an OnChainOpepen. It’s a fun concept that I think is worth looking at, especially if you have some extra rocks. 🪨

⏳ Dropping Soon
Acronyms
I recently worked with Ryan to help create his first on-chain art drop. I have been a fan of his for years and it was awesome to work with him on this. The idea is that each piece is an abstract representation of acronyms we see in the crypto space.
Omega Code
Joshua Davis is an OG generative artist who has works on platforms like Artblocks. He’s dropping a new project called Omega Code during Art Basel starting December 8. An interesting twist is that encoded into the art is a timer that changes the color of the mint each day. It will be on the Base blockchain and minting will cost around $10 USD so it’s a very affordable piece. I’m planning to collect one for each day. I highly recommend joining his discord to read through the work-in-progress of this art. It’s very detailed and fascinating.

Nix describes his on-chain approach and visualizes the algorithm process for his project Treeangles. He will continue to release more information about this awesome project.
0xdiid’s favorite drops through his Efficax platform. We’ve been absolutely in love with Efficax lately. It is truly a game changer for artists looking to mint 1/1s or editions on-chain.
📰 On-Chain Generative Art News
Fully on-chain generate art coming to Foundation?
A huge win for the on-chain space if this is true. The CEO of Foundation all but confirmed that their new generative art platform will be fully on-chain. After the recent tweet from the Foundation CEO where he said Ethereum is not designed to be a storage layer, they seem to have taken a 180 on that and will soon go fully on-chain! We will soon see the details if this remains the case.
fx(hash) 2.0
fx(hash) has long been the gold standard as an open platform for generative art. It has had a lot of success on the Tezos chain but is soon coming to Ethereum. It was scheduled to go live on December 1st but has been pushed back 2 weeks. They will support on-chain artwork (not sure if fully on-chain or just the source code). This is a huge step for the world of on-chain projects. Two of my more anticipated projects are Slott by Roni Kaufman and Kumaleon, Paradigm by ippsketch, and Blokkendoos by Piter Pasma.
With gas prices on Ethereum soaring, It honestly makes the most sense for on-chain art to be generative. Rather than storing rendered art outputs on chain, it is more efficient to store source code that can generate many images. I truly think this is the way.
As we continue to see more and more projects released that are fully on-chain, as well as platforms that enable artists to cement their work directly into the Ethereum blockchain, this little corner of the internet we have is rapidly expanding. It will be impossible to list all of the projects on the site for two reasons. One, it currently takes some time to list and properly vet all the projects. Two, not all projects are especially noteworthy. I think it’s important to take a curated approach to keep the quality of projects we have on the site and discuss are up to a high standard. When I started Fully On Chain last year I wanted to help do my part to push the idea of fully on-chain NFTs and why they are important. It seems like we, as a community, are making great strides on that mission. Well done everyone!
