Created in 2019 by Larva Labs, Autoglyphs is the first fully on-chain generative art project.
512 Autoglyphs were minted for 0.2 ETH, around $35 at the time and all mint proceeds went to charity. Today, Autoglyphs have a 275 ETH floor ($313,854). They are truly in a class of their own and have paved the way for so many generative art projects we love today.
Fun fact about Autoglyphs is that the image isn't fully on-chain!!! Only the ascii art is on-chain and the art we are used to seeing is built using a custom Autoglyphs font. Does this make it any less on-chain?
