Issue 20 • Fully On Chain
Yo! Welcome back to the Fully On Chain Newsletter. It's been quite a minute but I'm just so pumped that I had to get a new newsletter out! We have some bangers to share. There are some really talented artists putting out fully on chain artworks. That fact is not being discussed enough on the timeline.

Lesgiddit!

Btw, make sure to hold a Colorvoid to get free access to my next project.

Jack Shepherd
My good friend Jack Shepherd (jsheps) is dropping another unique hand-drawn inspired dynamic artwork. It drops today! Make sure to check if you are on allowlist and support the homie! It's got a very unique mechanic that may be a first in the on-chain art space.

Credits
Jack Butcher
Jack Butcher is at it again! This time with Credits! Credits turns acts of trust into digital art, with each eligible $8 payment through X Money becoming a complete artwork. The payment’s transaction ID is hashed into 256 bits and mapped across four 8×8 grids in cyan, magenta, yellow, and black, while its timestamp determines which layers appear and each “8” in the transaction ID leaves a visual mark. Credits makes the payment itself both the source and subject of the artwork. Again, just awesome stuff from Jack. Always pushing the envelope.

BitMON
Des Lucréce
Des Lucréce’s BitMON brings 4,444 unique pixel monsters fully on-chain, each pieced together from hand-drawn assets with plenty of personality. The collection builds on earlier releases on Tezos and 150 animated monsters inscribed on Bitcoin. Every BitMON starts as a Spawn, and time spent in the pool shapes its chances of revealing rarer traits. Their final forms are still under wraps, but for now, you can watch the Spawns hang out, make friends, and dream of evolving with a whole arcade to explore while you wait.

Argonauts
a.c.k.
No utility, no roadmap…just art. a.c.k ignited the NFT world with this drop and is still going strong. Again, I think the fact that these high profile artists are choosing to release their art fully on-chain should tell us something!

Colorvoids
Greyblok
This one is coming from yours truly! This algorithm was many months in the making. I was simply drawn to the idea of tighly compact lines into a canvas with nature inspired colors bleeding through. Thanks to the community for selling this one out quickly! Holding one will give you free access to my next project!

The BLOCK
E L L A
E L L A cooked up a pretty awesome project! The BLOCK is a generative art project made of 4,096 cubes built from fully onchain cc0 artwork. Using a simple recursive algorithm, cubes become streets, neighborhoods, regions, and eventually one massive digital city. It’s a shared world shaped by onchain culture and what it becomes next is up to collectors.

Killers (Still Minting)
DTODD has a very unique project using dithered photography assembled from fragments and rendered entirely through EVM. There is a "hunt" mechanic that is triggered after mint out of the full project!
Compas
Harto, most notable from his Ordinals projects, like Flora Forms, steps into Ethereum for a companion project Compas! I think these could age well.

Other Finds 👀
rougemek
Mek has been on an absolute tear lately. He put out a fun game on his website called rougemek. It showcases his pixel art style in a rouge-like game that you can play directly in his portfolio site.

Thanks for reading! I am planning to release some more on-chain art soon and I'm wondering if I should continue to drop them under my own name and feed, but I am thinking a studio could be better since I am planning to do collabs. Let me know what you think of that.

If you're working on an on-chain project or have something cool to share, just hit reply, I'd love to see it.

Keep collecting on-chain art. I'll see you next time. Peace!
